The Big S (pronounced "big ess") website came into being because of a statement made by a co-worker many years ago in early 1999. The meeting concerned the development and contracting groups from the parent company spinning off into a new company that specialized in consulting, software services and website design and development.

While brainstorming for "catchy" tag lines for the company, things got a tad absurd. Things went from the outrageous -- like "Because you're too stupid to do it yourself!" to "Just give us the cash!". The company leadership finally reeled in the frivolousness and said they wanted something that sounded like a Microsoft slogan. At that time, Microsoft had started pushing the "Where do you want to go today?" moniker. It was at this particular moment the silence was broken by "Oh, what about 'Where does your big a** want to go today?'".

The next day I presented this "site" to the fine folks at that company as a joke. It still reminds the "old-timers" of the "dot com" era, and of times and friends gone by -- and even one dear friend that's no longer with us here, but lives in our hearts forever.
